And so, it begins...

And so, it begins…

You found me! I’m so glad you did.

Settle in and relax, there’s a whole world waiting to be discovered.

The first book of my Tales of Ithaco series is almost ready for the world. The story is finished and waiting to be read, all that’s left is finding the best way to put it in the hands of as many people as possible.

Tales of Ithaco:
Double-lock

Meet Chris MacDoumyn and discover Ithaco.

Ithaco didn’t spring to life fully formed, like a goddess from ancient mythology. It didn’t come to me in a wonderful dream. And it wasn’t handed to me by some fickle muse. In many ways it’s not so much a place, but a living creature, constantly evolving and changing, because to grow stagnant means to die.

At first, I thought it fed on stories, and in a way, that may be true. But if you look closer, you come to realize that the stories feed on the world as much as the world feeds on them, and a serpent that feeds on its own tail is not a credible ecosystem. There must be something else then… something that nourishes both of them. The answer, ironically… is questions.

Ithaco is built on questions.

What if there was just one leader? One who has good intentions? What would they change? How would they change it? What if their power didn’t rise from conquest? What if this world had time to focus on technological advance for the first time? What if there was a different source of energy? What if it was clean? What if it could only be found in one place? What if, what if, what if? Who, what, where, when? Which, how, WHY?

Every question demands answers, and every answer spawns more questions. And in the process of answering them… a world is born.

This website is more than a launch platform for my very first novel.

Chris’ story is only a small part of a larger whole, and I love showing off the little details that make the world around Ithaco such an interesting place. However, if I tried to put everything in the books, it would slow down the fast-paced stories of the MacDoumyn siblings considerably.

Thankfully, I don’t have to. Anyone who wants to know more is welcome to wander around here to their heart’s content.

I’ll keep updating this space with snippets, pictures, and short stories as time allows, until hopefully, someday, it turns into the digital equivalent of a loose-leafed encyclopedia on all things Ithaco.

So, without further ado, go ahead and read Prodigysign up to receive a notification once Double-lock becomes available, and wander around here as much as you want. You'll always be welcome.
